ABOUT
Through my drama department and the thespian Troupe 5244 I was a part of my senior year of high school, I was gifted the incredible opportunity to compete in the Florida Thespians competition in the category Theatre Marketing. Through this endeavor, I was tasked with creating a new, original, comprehensive Mock Marketing Campaign for a published work written for the theatre and presenting it for judging. After selecting the musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and competing at the District 11 Florida Thespian Festival, I received a Superior rating and Best in Show. This meant my campaign was voted and scored the best out of all the campaigns presented by students from 2 counties and 30 competing schools in the district.
In March of 2025, I went on to compete at the state level, the Florida State Thespian Festival. Here, I was grateful to be awarded not only a Superior of a Perfect Score, but Top Honors. This meant my campaign scored the highest among all competing participants throughout the entire state of Florida. Only 6 Top Honors were awarded to Theatre Marketing out of the entire 4-day festival.

LOGO & TICKETS
The logo was created to visually depict Charlie and the Chocolate Factory's whimsical, vibrant, playful themes within the musical. Its pastel colors, heavy contrast, and use of the golden ticket depict the musical's central storyline and character dynamics. The logo is utilized across our poster, program design, tickets, and social media posts. The tickets showcase the logo and include information on each show's date, time, location, and price for students and adults.

The Poster Process
The first promotional material I began to develop was the poster (which I digitally drew in Ibis Paint X). My main inspiration for this was the poster of Willy Wonka from the promotional campaign for Wonka (2023). I admired how he held his hat tilted down, which evoked a feeling of secrecy, mystery, and charm, and decided to include it in the left bottom section of my poster as a deep maroon silhouette. I additionally included a smirk to further play into this consistent idea of mischief.

SOCIAL MEDIA DESIGN
SOCIAL MEDIA: CAST SPOTLIGHT POSTS
As a way to highlight our six leading and supporting characters in the musical, I created this Cast Spotlight post design and spotlighted our cast members including their names, character names, photos in costume design, and a small paragraph of each actor's hopes for the show.

SOCIAL MEDIA: MISCELLANEOUS
Along with the Cast Spotlight post design, I have designed the following additional concept posts, intended to garner more excitement for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. These include a three-sequence musical countdown, which would be released to announce the musical itself, the musical announcement post, and an audition post with all audition information including date, time, location, and contact information if needed.
